Hi friend! Welcome to Morthunder, hopefully during your time here you feel inspired to create something that brings you happiness and encourages you to learn new skills!

Week 30: Sketches and Paintings

This week I started using my water color pencils that I bought for myself for my birthday!

As a piece of advice from “Drawing is Important” by Tom Froese, I'm going to share my drawings and paintings here even though I really don’t want to.

The process:

Step 1 - sketch up an everyday object

Step 2 - ink it

Step 3 - erase pencil lines carefully

Step 4 - add color using water color pencils

Step 5 - using a paint brush, carefully brush along the color pencil markings and create water color brush strokes.

Step 6 - let it dry and pray the kids don’t touch it.

Above is a brush turkey at the park. I'm looking forward to coloring it!

Below is a work in progress of everyday items.

  1. The first image is a Gelato cone from the gelato place on the ground floor of the hotel we stayed in when we first moved to Sydney. Iggy and I went out at 8pm one night and just grabbed some because A. I was pregnant and B. Iggy was a bad influence.

2. Ethan's Cotopaxi hat we bought in Victoria Canada in 2023.

3. A Simon Johnson Bag

4. Prana Chai from the local coffee shop. So yummy!

5. My favorite shirt Papa Woltersdorf ever wore with his ever so silly “I'm for Nixon” badge. He taught as a biology teacher for over 30 years but he was so much more than that. He is greatly missed.
