Week 3: Matching Bag + Garment

I find the coordination of these pants and this bag very pleasing. I like the way the pants are tailored and I also like the style of the bag. (Credit Pinterest)

This week’s brief was to sew a bag using fabric that I’ve used for another garment.

I was sitting on a bench at the park while my kids played and two trains of thought suddenly collided and became a bullet train.

Train 1: I want to make a holder for all of my pottery tools

Train 2: I want to make a bag that matches the dress I made last week with the vintage gardening fabric

Bullet train: make an artist’s roll that holds all my pottery tools, that ALSO has a strap so I can wear it crossbody purse-style using the left over fabric from the vintage gardener dress.

I'm particularly enthusiastic about using my snap closures for the first time. I bought them last year in RAINBOW colors to make Tilly clothing and then forgot about them. They’re So easy to use!!!
